Due to policy changes and the termination of contracts with the provider of our subscription-based email services, Gmail has been provided to alumni starting last year and to incoming freshmen this year.
As previously announced in the June notice, "Notice of Mandatory Naverworks 2FA
Setup & Google mail Transition," the Gmail migration for currently enrolled students will
proceed as follows.
Please review the details and complete the migration of your email service within the
specified period.
1. Migration Period: From 10:00 AM, August 26, 2026 to February 28, 2027
2. Eligibility
Undergraduate and graduate students of Korea University who hold a
Naverworks account & admitted prior to the 2026 academic year
(including students on leave of absence / general completion status)

4. Notes
a. Two-factor authentication is mandatory for Gmail accounts.
(Accounts without this setting cannot be used.)
b. Once migration is complete, incoming emails will only be accessible through Gmail.
c. Throughout the enrollment period, the same combined mail and drive storage
capacity as Naverworks (30GB total) will be provided.
d. Students admitted prior to the 2026 academic year who do not currently hold a
Naverworks account will be provided with Gmail from the time of their initial email registration.
e. A separate email service policy for graduates will apply after graduation.
5. [Important] Cautions
※ One month after completion of the Gmail migration,
the existing Naverworks account and its data will be deleted(cannot be recovered).
- Users are responsible for backing up and transferring any mail or other data from
Naverworks on their own.
(Follow the [Naverworks Mail Backup Manual].)
※ Upon termination of the Naverworks service, all data—including any accounts
that have not yet migrated—will be deleted in bulk
(cannot be recovered).
