[Notice from Digital Information Office Information Infrastructure Team]
Microsoft has announced that official technical support for the Windows 10 operating system will end as of October 14, 2025.
Although users can continue using Windows 10 after technical support ends, security updates and feature patches will no longer be provided.
To maintain a secure and stable PC environment, we strongly recommend upgrading to Windows 11 as outlined below.
Q1) Why should I upgrade?
A) End of Security Patches and Technical Support
- After October 2025, Windows 10 will no longer receive security updates, bug fixes, or technical support.
- This means the system will be highly vulnerable to security threats such as malware infections and ransomware.
- [Refer to the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) notice]
Q2) How do I upgrade?
A1) Windows 11 cannot be installed unless the system meets certain requirements (e.g., TPM 2.0 support).
1) First, check upgrade eligibility using the PC Health Check tool provided by Microsoft.

※ Due to compatibility issues, errors may occur when running certain programs. Please verify separately whether your frequently used software is compatible with Windows 11.
2) If your system is eligible for upgrade, refer to the attached document to download the installation files and proceed with the upgrade.
- (Important) To prepare for unexpected issues during the upgrade, please back up your personal files and important data separately.
- For older PCs that do not meet the system requirements, hardware upgrades or a replacement PC may be necessary.
For general information about the upgrade process, please refer to the [Office of Digital Information FAQ]. If you encounter any difficulties, contact the Information Infrastructure Team.
